Often described as unworldly and godlike, I see the birds I create as kin to angels. Rather than mimicking nature, my palette and meticulous approach give the paintings a medieval aura while their stature is reminiscent of ancient Egyptian sculpture. Provocative, observant, they are archetypal embodiments of The Divine and exist in the borderland between mystery and fantasy in their innate if elusive narrative.
